Gautam Gambhir a stylish left hand opening batsman who has achieved and cements his place in the current Indian team by his outstanding performance in all formats of the game. He averages more than 90 in test cricket during year 2008-2009.
His solid footwork, high bat-lift and a boldly young approach perplexed bowlers more than once as vigilant defense was substituted by the aerial route over point. His career started with in-out from the Indian squad on several occasion, however he has cemented his place on the tour of Australia where he scored few centuries in the triangular series.
